Sunday Strolls? Wait, isn’t that on the same day as Corgi Run Club? Yes, you are correct. When we started Corgi Run Club, it was when gyms were closed and we were just starting to venture out of our homes and be physically around people again. I’m sure we all remember those times and don’t want to have to relive any of that any time soon.
We experimented with a variety of venues and schedules…even took a hiatus and removed it from the schedule altogether. Since we’ve started them up again, the event has evolved. We’d often get first timers attending and many times running wasn’t really their thing – to be fair we did post the event as a run/walk event.
So we’ve adapted. Just like the name change of Stow Lake to Blue Heron Lake (Yeah we didn’t know that was a thing either, we had to look it up to find out why…) we have now rebranded Corgi Run Club to Sunday Strolls at Golden Gate Park.
Blue Heron Lake and Strawberry Hill are both such beautiful places to get out for an early morning walk. If the event gains in popularity we may even experiment with exploring other parks and venues in the city.
