Our story

When I moved to San Francisco in 2016, I was searching for a corgi meetup group. There wasn't one — just some outdated Facebook posts and the usual Corgi Con events that was months away or had already past. So that December, I created one myself: a small meetup at the Mission Bay dog park off Berry Street.  A handful of people and corgis showed up — Basil, Swayze, Bruce, and a few others that I don't remember by name. Some of those early members have moved away since, and we're still in touch.  Why "Everyone Loves a Corgi?" The name came easily. I'm in marketing, so naturally I needed branding — and I noticed that wherever I took Lia: strangers would stop to pet her, and inevitably say some version of "I love corgis." Turns out, everyone does.  That was over ten years and hundreds of meetups ago. What started as one small gathering has grown into a community with over 2,000 newsletter subscribers, and regular meetups held across the Bay Area — including Point Isabel every other month, with meetups in the San Francisco in between — and an annual SF Pride contingent that's grown to almost 100 corgis marching together down Market Street in the parade.  For our 10th anniversary, we're launching a new website and all of our events are hosted solely on Luma for easier sign-ups. Our mission hasn't changed though — just an excuse to get corgis (and their people) together. Hope to see you and your pup at a future meetup!
