Happy Corgs-giving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of the Corgs and pawrents that have supported our Meetup group this year!

I’m sure you’ve looked at your Corg’s happy faces and think to yourself how much you love, love, LOVE that little Corg – and how thankful you are to have them in your lives (I sure do)!

This Thanksgiving, I am very thankful for my little “love bucket” Lia, and am very thankful for each of you; the members of our group. We now have over 300 members in our group, and that number continues to grow with every new puppy that attends our events.

I have met some great people through these events – and yes it is possible to make friends with the pawrents just as much as your Corgs do! The Corgi community in the Bay Area is very special, and I’m glad to have helped bring the community together to make that “Corgi magic” happen all year round.

This year we’ve done events that included hikes in the East Bay, frapping at Crissy Field and Fort Funston, herding sheep in Santa Rosa, marching at SF Pride and fundraising to support Queen’s Best Stumpy Dog Rescue.

Our next event is on Saturday, December 16th with a holiday hike at Lands End. We’re currently at capacity but are maintaining a waiting list. While this venue doesn’t have any specific capacity restrictions I prefer to keep the group a little smaller when on highly trafficked shared trails.

Thanks again for continuing to support our events, and I look forward to seeing you next month!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Derek & Lia
